TN Visa Services
TN Visa is a non immigrant work visa available to citizens of Canada and Mexico under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)— previously known as NAFTA. It allows certain professionals to work in the U.S. in pre-approved occupations for U.S. employers on a temporary basis.


Who Qualifies?
You may be eligible for a TN Visa if you:
- Citizens(not permanent residents) of Canada or Mexico.
- Must have a job offer in the U.S. in a USMCA-listed profession (there are about 60+ categories).
- Must possess the educational credentials or licenses required for that occupation (e.g., a bachelor’s degree for most).
Key Requirements & Documentation
Below is a non-exhaustive list of typical documents and requirements for a TN Visa application:
Job Offer / Employment Letter
Official letter from a U.S. employer describing the position, job duties, salary, and duration of employment. Must specify that the role qualifies under a USMCA profession.
Proof of Citizenship
Valid passport from Canada or Mexico (only citizens qualify, not permanent residents).
Educational Credentials
Original degree, diploma, or professional license demonstrating qualifications for the listed occupation. Transcripts may be requested.
Professional Experience (if applicable)
Résumé, reference letters, or prior work history related to the TN-eligible profession.
USMCA Profession Evidence
Documentation that the job falls under one of the 60+ USMCA-listed professions (e.g., Engineer, Accountant, Graphic Designer).
Visa Application (for Mexicans)
Completed DS-160 form and consular appointment for TN classification at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
1-94 / Port of Entry Documents (for Canadians)
Canadians may apply directly at a port of entry with their employment letter and supporting evidence.
Proof of Nonimmigrant Intent
Evidence showing you plan to return to your home country (e.g., lease, family ties, ongoing employment, or property ownership
Passport Validity
Passport valid for the duration of the intended stay in the U.S.
Government Fees
Payment receipts for consular or border processing fees.
